Established in 2005, Grange Golf Club
was founded by the amalgamation of two of the previous five golf clubs
at Monifieth, Grange & Dundee Golf Club, and Abertay Golf Club.
In choosing the name for the newly established
Grange Golf Club, the history book was turned back more than 100 years,
when in 1899, the first Grange Golf Club had been established on the
Links at Monifieth. Today Grange Golf Club Members are still accommodated
in the original clubhouse overlookingthe practice putting green and
Medal Course Starter's Box.
The clubhouse has been extended and modernised
a number of times over the years and the latest extension in 2005/6
provides modern changing and toilet facilities for both Ladies and Gents
Sections, not forgetting Visitors. A spacious open plan lounge, dining
and function area welcomes all visitors and guests. Grange Golf Club
members are proud to welcome visitors to their clubhouse, and to Monifieth
Links.
The clubhouse also boasts a comfortable
“Golfers Bar” where the days golf can be “replayed”
over a relaxing game of pool. A large screen television is provided
with full satellite coverage. Should one care to go upstairs, there
is a full size snooker table to test ones “alternative skills”,
and from this lounge, one can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view over
the 18th green and fairway.
Catering facilities are available from
11a.m. for breakfast, snacks, lunches, and evening dinner, and two well
stocked bars serve a wide range of wines, beers, spirits, and the finest
malt whiskies. Visitors are encouraged to book their catering needs
in advance, so that any dietary requirements can be accommodated.
