Ron McLeod's professional golf shop was established here in Monifieth 1933 by the late Ron McLeod.

The business has been run for the past 37 years by his son Ian who is a P.G.A. professional and a renowned clubmaker. In recent years Ian has been joined by his son Gordon, who is himself a P.G.A. professional. The shop has built a reputation over the years for a 24-hour repair service, which includes hickory and antique golf clubs.

The golf shop offers a full professional service with a well-stocked shop of all the golfing requirements, refreshments and hire equipment. Both Ian and Gordon provide golf lessons for players of all standards, and their reputation for excellent tuition is well known in all the Tayside and Angus area.

The Monifieth golf shop specialises in providing custom-made golf clubs that incorporates a computerised made to measure system. An indoor area in the back shop allows clubs to be trialled, or swings to be grooved in more inclement weather.

Ron McLeod's golf shop is an official custom-made centre for Mizuno, Ben Hogan and Wilson as well as its own brand of less expensive made to measure models.
